Villa Lou Miradou:
Located in the South of France
Our villa provides stunning
all-round views to the French Riviera coastline, the Esterel, the distant
Maures and the pre-Alpes. Only 25 minutes drive from Nice airport this
modern French villa is situated on olive terraces in a very quiet neighbourhood
and offers gracious secure living in the provencale style. Shops
and restaurants are close by and it is a 10 minute walk through woods
to fetch your morning croissants. There is excellent tennis nearby and a selection of
10 golf courses in the vicinity. The coastal resorts of Cannes and Antibes are
18km away and it is only a short drive to Grasse, perfume capital of the world, and to the
gourmet shops at Valbonne and Roman Vence.

Miradou Villa is ideal for all year round holiday rentals and vacations. Warmed by under floor
heating and a large traditional fireplace, off-peak holiday makers benefit
from the sunny location and amazing vibrant winter colouring whilst
Summer users can enjoy the large terra-cotta surrounded pool as well
as many shaded niches around the villa and in the garden. Even in November tenants have used the pool
heater to enjoy the late Autumn warmth and enjoy the Riviera sunshine as Queen Victoria used to do at nearby
Grasse when she took a vacation in the South of France.
Entrance to the Villa
You
enter the villa grounds through automatic wrought iron gates into a spacious outer
parking courtyard with a double garage (and a very popular ping-pong table), then
into a covered terra-cotta courtyard and into the villa through
a large monastery-style front door into a large salon/tourette with
a traditional provencale fireplace. Deep windows open onto a shaded
terrace looking out to the bay of Cannes across olive orchards (once
belonging to Dirk Bogarde and amusingly described in his books).
Up a few steps and you enter a spacious dining room and superbly
equipped kitchen beyond, both leading out through sliding windows
onto a wide covered terrace ideal for dining or just sitting around.
There is also an elegant
wc cloakroom, a cellar and well equipped laundry room.
Upstairs
there are four double bedrooms (three can be arranged as twins) each with
its own individual colouring and ensuite bathrooms with Mediterranean tiling (warmed
in winter by the underfloor heating). All are on the same level with breathtaking views
to the Mediterranean coast. Two rooms share a deep open sun terrace.
The Private, heated Swimming Pool
The
swimming pool 12m x 5m with roman steps is surrounded by terra-cotta "plage"
and safety fence. The adjacent pool house has a large extending sun awning.
Inside there is a well equipped open kitchen, a spacious dining area and a
separate wc and shower, a changing room and storage for pool furniture.
Facilities at Villa Lou MiradouThis
comfortable, quiet and well appointed French holiday villa is very well equipped
with 2 American fridges, Satellite, DVD/Video and Home Cinema, fax
and internet line. The furnishings are to a high standard and our
selection of books and videos (some for children), CDs and DVDs
are also provided for tenant use. Families of all ages have enjoyed their holiday in the South of France whilst
staying at Lou Miradou. The outside is terraced so close supervision
of the very young is essential.
